Courage

I live!!! So I was gone for about a year on a mission, so this is the first real piece of work I've done since then. Don't judge me too harshly. I know this isn't my best painting ever, but it's good considering I haven't painted anything in a very long time. Plus I decided to try doing something really difficult. Go me.

The painting is of Hanging Lake in Colorado. The reference photo I took was from the fall, hence all the rich colors.

Actually, the colors look more dull to me in real life. For some reason, the water became really bright when I took the picture... So. Whoops.

Anyway, this is made with oils. The canvas is possibly the largest canvas I've ever used which also added a bit of challenge to the whole thing. I think it turned out well all things considered. Hope you enjoy it.
